As the 2009 edition of Felabration begins today, the former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke, Barrister Femi Falana, Odia Ofeimun, Ben Bruce and others will attend a special lecture in honour of the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti at the New Afrika Shrine.
Spectrum News learned that Duke has confirmed his attendance as one of the special guests while the likes of Falana, Bruce, Odia Ofeimun will speak on the topic “The social and political influence of Fela Anikulapo on the society.”
Yeni Kuti, Fela’s first daughter confirmed that all is now set for the week-long activities in celebration of Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Yeni said that part of today’s activity is a photo exhibition while the musical shows commenced tomorrow.
Spectrum News learned that the likes of King Sunny Ade, Sir Shina Peters, Lagbaja, Tunde and Wunmi Obe, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and other top stars will be performing.
